Rich, creamy, and slightly spicy — guacamole is a perfect accompaniment to quesadillas, fajitas, or nachos. It also works wonderfully as a dip for fresh veggies or spread on toasted bread. Just thinking about it makes my taste buds go wild!

Ingredients
1 ripe avocado
½ medium tomato, peeled, deseeded, and finely diced
1–2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
½ small onion, finely chopped
½–1 tbsp lime juice (adjust to taste)
½ chili pepper or a few drops of Tabasco (be careful not to overdo it)
Salt, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the avocado:
Cut the avocado in half lengthwise. Twist the halves to remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a bowl and mash with a fork until smooth.Mix the ingredients:
Add the tomato, cilantro, onion, lime juice, chili, and salt. Mix everything well.Chill and serve:
For the best flavor, refrigerate before serving.
