“Finger-Licking” Sticky Wings

Sweet, salty, sticky, and absolutely irresistible—these wings are everything you expect from an Asian-inspired marinade. For the best flavor, let them marinate for at least two hours. It’s a simple recipe, but the result is pure comfort food bliss.

 

Ingredients:

  • About 500 g chicken wings

  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed

  • A 2 cm piece of fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • ~50 ml soy sauce

  • ~50 ml ketchup


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the wings:
    Wash the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Make the marinade:
    In a separate bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, cinnamon, honey, soy sauce, and ketchup. Pour the marinade over the wings, mix thoroughly, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

  3. Bake:
    Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat) or 180°C with fan. Transfer the wings to an ovenproof dish and bake for about 40 minutes, until golden, sticky, and delicious.


Serve these wings hot—with plenty of napkins on hand. They truly live up to their name: finger-licking good!
